STYLING A LITTLE BLACK DRESS

Hey lovely readers,

Welcome back to my blog. I hope this week is off to a great start.

Now that Ramadhan is over, the wedding season is in full swing and its time to get those glam dresses out of the closet and attend a few weddings. A wedding guest in my opinion should not be overdressed to overshadow the bride as it is indeed her day (a rule I have broken time and again)  and in the same token, making a little effort to look good is just as important.

My favourite choice of an event outfit is the Little Black Dress as it is a classy, timeless  and the universal look good outfit for every lady.  The problem with classy dresses is that if not accessorised well, they can appear as too plain and casual. As a certified lover of little black dresses, I have learnt a few tips that helps with the accessorizing of little black dresses:

1.Add dimension to the dress with a belt:

The beauty of a dress is when it has the right dimension to match a ladies physique. Adding a belt is just the trick to making a dress look well fitted and beautiful.

2. Pair the dress with coloured heels:

This is essentially important if you want to wear very minimal makeup. Pairing the dress with a coloured heel will make it pop and appear event ready.

3. A beautiful clutch adds the right tone to the dress:

Two things says a lot about a woman’s attire: the shoes she is wearing and the purse she is carrying. A clutch is the perfect purse choice for events as it makes you appear event ready and compliments the outfit beautifully.

I hope this tips will be helpful when trying to dress up the little black dress.

Thank you so much for reading.
